Bigger and brighter than last year, we would like to invite you to experience the zoo at night as you’ve never seen it before… Thousands of lights illuminating enclosures, trees and plants creating what we believe to be a truly magical Christmas experience. Wander through the Lost Kingdom, spot the wolves and lions, Santa and his reindeer and enjoy the tranquility of the Japanese Garden. This year there is also a new area to discover – our illuminated Nature Riverside Walk. With a festive market, skating experience, children’s rides and festive food and drink stalls, there’s lots to see and do!
The Zoo Illuminations will start on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th November. They will be on each Friday, Saturday and Sunday night for the rest of November and then every night in December (excluding the 11th) up to and including Sunday 23rd December. 1000 tickets are available each night.

2. Santa Boat Trips
The Union Canal passes through a variety of West Lothian's towns. Santa will be making full use of the easy connections it provides by visiting on his boat to Linlithgow Canal Centre on the 15th, 16th, 22nd & 23rd December. You'll be able to visit his grotto, receive an age appropriate gift and even go on a free boat trip.
Further along the Canal, Santa will also be visiting Broxburn 19-40 Union Canal Society. There will be four different dates and times and it's sure to be a fun way to meet the man himself.
3. Almond Valley Christmas Events
Almond Valley Heritage Centre in Livingston will be hosting a range of christmas events for the family this December. There will be a variety of opportunities to meet Santa, at his breakfasts, afternoon teas and suppers! They will also be holding special Autism Friendly visits.

4. Jack and the Beanstalk
Howden Park Centre's Christmas Panto - Jack and the Beanstalk - takes places on various dates throughout the whole of December. They've got magic beans, dancing cows and a special wee lassie who wants to prove she's no one hit wonder!
Tickets start at £16 for an adult and £56 for the whole family, with last years show a sell out so don't wait too long before getting your ticket!
Head over to Santa's very own Grotto in Whitburn to meet Santa in his Grotto.
Each year The Garage (Whitburn) tour the streets of West Lothian, bringing festive cheer. Last year the Sleigh travelled an impressive 800 miles.
To allow more people to see the Sleigh, the grotto will provide the opportunity for the family to visit, share smiles and meet Santa and his sleigh.
