Bathgate 28 miles

This challenging cycle tour, climbing into the Bathgate Hills, affords views of much of central Scotland including the Trossaches and Ben Lomond.

The route visits two Country Parks, Beecraigs and Muiravonside, while with a short detour you can stop off in Royal Burgh of Linlithgow.

The crossing of the spectacular Avon Aqueduct makes the tour memorable.

Scenery is extremely varied, with woodland, streams and open moorland.

Terrain: The route follows mostly minor roads, but does make use of the Union Canal towpath and National Cycle Route 75. These two sections of off road path allow traffic free cycling. Click here to view larger map.
