The Arrival

 The Arrival

The Arrival is a funny, wildly imaginative and welcoming show, inspired by the award-winning graphic novel by Shaun Tan.

A man journeys to start life in a bewildering new city.  It’s a land of strange customs, peculiar animals and weird vegetables.  He doesn’t speak the language; he can’t read the maps or signs.  He is helped along the way by sympathetic strangers, each with their own story of past and present, survival and hope.  Produced by Solar Bear, a pioneering theatre company celebrating the creative possibilities of inclusion, the production has been created to be accessible for both deaf and hearing audiences and those with English as an additional language.

Date: Fri 26 Oct 2018 Time: 7.30pm

Maggie Bell and Dave Kelly

Maggie Bell and Dave Kelly

An evening with two legends of the British R&B scene, two great voices, two great reputations.

A founder member of Stone the Crows, she later had an incredibly successful solo career on both sides of the Atlantic.  Dave Kelly, London's slide guitar king, learned his trade playing with blues legends, Howlin Wolf, John Lee Hooker and Buddy Guy to name a few.  Dave is also a founder member of The Blues Band.  A wonderful evening of acoustic blues, soul and good times, and no doubt a little humour.

Stuff

Stuff

She must find a way to deal with the constant shifting of stuff in her house and her head, as she revisits the past and struggles with the present to find a way to face the future.  Told with humour and tenderness this will resonate in its view of our attachment to things, and our need for attachment to each other.
